It's a long shot but I know I just rooted a droid eris and they don't require you to enter su to flash a custom recovery. If so then try it on the 2.2.1 update who needs a root exploit when you can just flash a custom recovery and then an update zip su in it. Are all these files in the 'C:/LG Electronics/LGNPST/Model/MTP/' folder: Common_UserSCR_00.scr MS690.dll MS690ZV3_36.S3_36.P3014.tot Reggie.exe Setup.exe MS690ZV3_36.scr 3014.prl??? If so did you run Setup.exe and say ok? Then did you drag MS690.dll on top of Reggie.exe and did it register the file? You must do this in order for LGNPST to find the phone.
