So i got my Sxt a week ago today, and it didnt come with the factory navigation system. I was wondering if anyone had information on adding the factory navi via a dvd or usb? So the answer is no. But again, is it worth $595 to have the 'factory installed' nav? Sorry for the confusion. I will let you guys know what and how very soon. I am sure, as stated previously, it's a simple pay Chrysler and then they activate it because when I signed on the dotted line I inquired and that was the answer I received from them. But, I've had issues with my car and now have to take it in to have the bumper repainted - I'm going to be asking for them to activate the NAV in my vehicle for all the trouble I have had with this car. Very poor final quality inspection process at the factory.
I've had to replace a lot of internal cosmetic items already. Ipb 3 1 4 Nulled Dgtao. So, I'm sure they will give me the NAV and when they do I will find out the process.
The nav radios are a different head unit. They are the RB5 units. You can find them on car-parts.com. 04692350AD (the last letter can be different, with the highest letter being the latest revision ) This info is correct, however the part number is not. Did a ton of research on this yesterday.
Basically came to the conclusion that it's not worth doing. The RB5 units are stupid expensive. Not worth it to me to pay that kind of money and rip the car apart when I have my smartphone with NAV mounted right next to my 8.4. I was wrong (sort-of). Dug a little bit deeper and found out there are (2) ways to order the RB5 unit.
The first is through what Mopar calls an exchange; basically you give them back your old radio and they sell you the RB5 for $375.00 MSRP. Or you can just get the RB5 without giving your old radio back for $2,050.00 MSRP:O So when I was looking yesterday I only saw the standalone unit. But by giving your core back this is much more reasonable and may be worth doing for many. As it turns out, the satellite radio antenna and the GPS antenna are the same (in almost all cases). So if you have an RE2 radio with SiriusXM, you won't need to replace the antenna.
